Katya Demidova, born in 1983 in Moscow, Russia. He currently lives and works in Mexico.
Growing up in an artistic family encouraged Katya to get involved with arts and crafts from a young age. In 2005 she moved to London after completing her bachelor's degree in linguistics at the Moscow University of Foreign Languages.
She obtained a postgraduate degree in Fine Art from Byam Shaw School of Art/University of the Arts London/ where she explored various art forms, such as performance and installation, which allowed her to expand her creative abilities.

However, photography remained his main field of interest. Drawn to documentary photography and storytelling, she continued her journey at the University of Westminster undertaking a master's degree in photojournalism.
Over the years, Katya has developed strong manual skills and an eye for detail and design which led her to Mexico, which has been her base of operations since 2015.

In his newly adopted country, he has begun to explore its rich traditions and ancient techniques. Two years later on the Caribbean coast of Tulum, SOMNILOQUY was born. As a leap of faith, her lifelong hobby has become a jewelry brand.
Through creating beaded designs, she continues to fulfill her fascination with color and geometric shapes, which she has been translating through photography previously.

The visual curiosity of the creative process never seems to fade, as with each new piece it embarks on a "mind to hands" journey, from idea to an actual wearable object. With SOMNILOQUY designs, the artist aspires to adorn and empower the people who wear them.
