Textile and fashion designer and Master in Technological Innovation from the UIA, with studies at FIT in NY and Paris American Academy. Second place winner of the Pierre Cardin Scholarship, awarded by Fashion Group International and recognized in 2012 as a textile talent by the Western Textile Chamber.
She has developed as co-designer of the Lydia Lavín brand, with multiple presentations on national and international platforms. She is a member of Fashion Group International in its chapter in Mexico City and since 2017 she has been part of its board of directors. She currently serves as the group's regional director for the 2021-2022 biennium.
In 2017, Montserrat Messeguer launched her eponymous brand, which focuses on the aesthetics of a coarser and less abundant Mexico: the Northern region, its monochrome crafts, the earthy palette of its deserts and cacti, the coarseness of its materials and climate. The brand has been presented at events such as Fashion Days, La Baja está de moda, Diseña México 32 and Intermoda and Fashion Week México.
It has been recognized for its cowboy boots, unique in the market and which have marked a before and after in Mexican fashion, made from 100% leather and through a traditional process with special handmade embroidery.
